Weeks words

Today this is  my post is about this weeks words here is my fotobabble about it. It is an app on the i-pad or   i-pod.

Experiments

On Thursday the 14 of November Team 12 did an experiment block. Our first experiment was we had 3 quarters of a small glass bottle and filled a balloon with baking soda and carefully placed it on the bottle. IT WORKED!! the balloon blew up and the co2 (carbon dioxide) had pushed into the balloon and put pressure on it and blew up.  When you touch it it is not soft like a balloon but had pressure on the balloon so Mrs D took the balloon off the bottle and let go it did the same thing as if you blow up a balloon and let go. Experiment 2 what we had to do is blow up a resealable plastic bag. So we put baking soda and vinegar in 2 separate bags and but the bag of baking soda in the bag of vinegar then we taped it shut and shook it around the teacher quickly put it on the ground and BANG! it had popped so far 2 out of 3 experiments had worked. Experiment 3 what we did was the old mentos and coke trick. Accept that we used baking soda and vinegar.So what we did was we got our school caregiver to drill holes in the lid. Then we went to the field and we put baking soda in the bottle and quickly put on the lid and then it became a shower of baking soda and vinegar and everyone enjoyed it by Corban BYE!!! :)

My Speech

Hello again.Today my post is about my speech. We had 3 topics to choose from here are the topics I'm unique let me tell you why ,my cultural discovery and Culture and me. My topic was I'm unique let me tell you why. My 3 challenges were holding and cutting out the cue cards pronouncing my words and finding out information. The intresting part about writing my speech is that it didnt take me as long as the other speeches I've written. By Corban

Ripper Rugby

Hello today my post is about ripper rugby we did it last Monday and today.What we have to do is play a game of touch rugby only that you have a belt on your waist and 2 yellow or green strips on your side. If your team gets 6 rips its a hand over and in the  first game I got 1 try, I think. In the second game I got 3 tries and i think I'm really good at rugby and i play soccer which i think is really cool thats the end of my post bye.

Cross country

Hello I'm Corban but clearly you already know that! Today my post is about Cross Country. All of the whole school  has to do Cross Country. When the age groups go they have to do a certain amount of laps /distance.
In the Juniors if they are 5 they run around the school field once and then if you are 6...... ill stop there you probably get it now.If your in the senior syndicate and you are 9 they make you run 1.5 k.s My best friend Sam came 6th and if your 10 you have to run 2 ks. I came 6th in that if you are 11 you have to run 2.5 ks for me it was a really fun day and I really enjoyed it.That's the end of my post bye

Class Mascot Project

Hello.This week team 12 were sharing our projects on naming our class mascot project our teacher got a soft toy and what we had to do was we had to choose a name and  its gender.My project was Diego the Sumatran tiger he is a boy.We had to do some research My research was people hunt  them down for their skin and bones i  don't know why though but ITS VERY MEAN!!!!. there is only less then 500 Sumatran tigers in the world.They have up to 2-6 cubs the cubs stay with their mothers for 18 month then they leave the challenge for me was getting all this research and I enjoyed naming the tiger because there was so many names to choose.We also had to do a back story for the tiger.The tigers name ended up being Lee Lee which means leader and thinks before she  does  the tiger is a girl and that's all I have for today. bye.
